Sugarland's Kristian Bush Takes Center Stage With Cover of Springsteen's "Atlantic City" As part of their ongoing In Your Hands Rewind series, our friends at Sugarlandmusic.com recently posted a live video of Kristian Bush performing one of the most requested songs from Sugarland's 2012 In Your Hands Tour: His take on Bruce Springsteen's "Atlantic City."
"Nebraska was my first Springsteen album, and 'Atlantic City' was the first Bruce song I ever learned," says Bush of his decision to add the cover into this summer's set. "I loved it from the moment I heard it, and am reminded every time I play it that a great song is a combination of a great story and a compelling performance. It was an acoustic version on his album, haunting and true, and I love interpreting it as a giant country rock song."
Fans are being encouraged to remember those still battling the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in Atlantic City and across New Jersey by donating what they can to the New Jersey Relief Fund or one of the many other organizations serving the affected East Coast region.
Bush is currently preparing to tour Europe with the CMA Songwriters Series before appearing as one of eight acts on the bill for the inaugural C2C: Country to Country Festival at London's O2 Arena, alongside Little Big Town, Vince Gill, and Tim McGraw.
