“This song has been in the back of my mind since Penn Penington played it for me about eight years ago,” expressed Jeannie Seely. “I cannot tell you how happy I am to finally record it, and even more excited to hear it on the air, thanks to Curb Records and my great promotion team!”
“We have always loved sharing the stage with our ‘sister’ at the Opry so we were excited when she asked us to record this with her. Being from Texas, we knew our part right away on this great Texas swing song!” exclaimed The Whites (Sharon and Cheryl White).
“Darlin’ since we met I don’t regret
One single step we’ve made
We’re taking it slow and we both know
That’s the way to make love stay
Cause people who rush in and find it’s a crush when
That don’t turn out like it should
So we’ll stay where we are cause we like it so far
So far, so good
We both feel the passion inside
And our love is easy to see
Taking one step at a time
We’ll know if it’s meant to be
Cause people who rush in and find it’s a crushed wind
That don’t turn out like it should
So we’ll stay where we are cause we like it so far
So far, so good”
