Mountain Fever Records happily announces the signinng of Theo & Brenna to the label. The brother-sister duo will kick off the holiday season with a new single, "Work On Christmas," which will be available to the public on November 23, 2021.
"We are excited and honored to be working with the fine folks at Mountain Fever. For our musical vision to be so supported means the world to us. We know we can create meaningful and lasting music with Mountain Fever. As we approach the holiday season, we hope our upcoming Christmas release will be a bluegrass blessing to all our listeners,” said Theo and Brenna.
"Work On Christmas" reminds us to thank those who must work on Christmas day for what the day truly means. Theo MacMillan penned this delightful song and provided his lead vocals and guitar talents. Brenna MacMillan lends her beautiful harmony vocals and banjo to the tune. They are joined by Mary Meyer on mandolin, Maddie Denton on fiddle, and Evan Winsor on bass.
Theo and Brenna are originally from Winchester, Kentucky, where they grew up with ten other siblings. They spent several years participating in the Berea College Bluegrass Ensemble together and were both honored individually with the Red Foley Memorial Music Award by Berea College. The two have played music together most of their lives and assembled the Theo & Brenna Band in 2018. This year, they were honored with an International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum Award Band Nomination.
Along with releasing studio projects featuring the duo's original songwriting, Theo & Brenna maintain a busy schedule of live events around the country and in their home base of Nashville, Tennessee. Music fans can catch a live performance of "Work at Christmas" along with other fan-favorite tunes at the world-famous Station Inn in Nashville on November 20, 2021.
Their full band shows are full of intricate harmonies, blazing solos, and an overall incredible live experience. Both siblings are avid songwriters, and their shows prominently feature original material and reimagined classics from Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, Paul Simon, and Willie Nelson. The displays also incorporate traditional bluegrass standards from groups like the Osborne Brothers, Stanley Brothers, and Bill Monroe.
