Stephanie Urbina Jones And Honky Tonk Mariachi Honor Dolly Parton At The Grand Ole Opry Attachment DeletedStephanie Urbina Jones and Honky Tonk Mariachi made their third appearance on the Grand Ole Opry last night in Nashville. Performing Jones' unique blend of classic country and mariachi music, the group performed "Jolene" in honor of the Opry's Dolly Parton's 50th Anniversary week. They performed Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire," featuring the same classic sound of Mariachi horns. Jones also performed her original "Mariachis Make Me Cry," which she introduced as a song that she wrote about her life story, much in the same vein as Parton wrote "Coat of Many Colors." Performing with Jones was legendary Mariachi, Juan Ortiz of Campanas de America from San Antonio, TX and Mariachi Corazon De Tejas of Austin, TX. Also accompanying Jones was percussionist/vocalist Laura Mordecai and guitarist/vocalist/band leader Patterson Barrett. Jones continues to blaze a new trail by celebrating her Hispanic heritage with her "country music with chili peppers." She will be performing at the Welcome Home Fest in Kerrville, TX this Friday, Oct. 11 and the Las Cruces Country Music Festival in Las Cruces, NM on Sunday, Oct. 13.
