Kathie Lee Gifford to appear with The Nashville Pops Orchestra's 1,000 Voices of Christmas at the historic Ryman Auditorium on Sunday, Nov. 17. The show will feature some of the best Christmas music with full orchestra, large video screen and harmonious choir of nearly 1,000 voices. Additional performers include Nicole C. In addition to the performance, this year The Nashville Pops Orchestra will host An Evening With Kathie Lee Gifford, an inaugural gala event at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum on Saturday, Nov.16. An Evening With Kathie Lee Gifford will benefit the Nashville Pops Orchestra allowing the chosen student and their choir director to receive The Bright Horizons Award, which includes an all-expense paid trip to NY for three nights and two days to study on Broadway. The 1,000 Voices of Christmas Choir consists of students ages 15-18, from the Middle TN Vocal Assoc (MTVA,) as well as approximately twenty Tennessee high schools and select choir members from area Nashville churches.

About Kathie Gifford:
Kathie Lee Gifford is the four-time Emmy award winning former co-host of the fourth hour of “TODAY,” alongside Hoda Kotb. After 11 years together, Gifford stepped down from that role in April to pursue other creative endeavors. The Gifford-Kotb hour had been hailed as “appointment television” by Entertainment Weekly, and “TODAY’s happy hour” by USA Today. Prior to NBC News, Gifford served as the co-host of Live with Regis and Kathie Lee for 15 years, where she received 11 Emmy nominations. In 2015 Gifford was inducted into the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame. She has been chosen to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2020. A playwright, producer, singer, songwriter and actress, Gifford has starred in numerous television programs and movies in her 45-year career. She has written several musicals including Broadway’s SCANDALOUS, which received a Tony nomination for Best Actress in 2012. Gifford also starred on Broadway in Putting it Together and Annie.
In April of this year she made her directorial debut with THE GOD WHO SEES short film, shot in Israel and based on a song she co-wrote with Grammy-nominated Nicole C. Mullen. The song is currently nominated for a Dove award.
Gifford authored four NY Times bestselling books including The Rock, The Road and the Rabbi, Just When I Thought I’d Dropped My Last Egg, I Can’t Believe I Said That, and the popular children’s book Party Animals. In October of 2018 she released the children’s book, The Gift That I Can Give with all proceeds going to Childhelp. She also launched GIFFT, a line of wine with the Scheid Family Vineyards in Monterey, CA.
Gifford lends support to numerous children’s organizations including Childhelp, the International Justice Mission, and the Association to Benefit Children.

Five years ago The Nashville Pops Orchestra was born. After much planning and considerable help from our good friend and inestimable artist, Tony Bennett; together with multi-award-winning composer/arranger Jorge Calandrelli, Lee Greenwood and Rhonda Vincent, we played our first concert to a packed house at the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded by orchestral entrepreneur and conductor, Jeff Bown, The Nashville Pops Orchestra is already gaining notoriety as potentially one of the best, most imaginative Pops orchestra organizations in the country. The Nashville Pops Orchestra is a 60-Piece All Professional Orchestra featuring some of the finest players in the world. The NPO is on par with The Boston Pops and the LA Philharmonic. The orchestra’s concerts are unique. Nothing like them has been done before anywhere in the US. Many of the concerts will break new ground by combining great musical events and active partnerships with major schools; providing a potentially life-changing opportunity for thousands of high school students. The first concert involved high school and dance studios from the greater Nashville area bringing together approximately 500 talented students to embrace potentially life-changing, creative opportunities. Funds raised through donations created the opportunity to award $5,000 to a deserving institution. The Orchestra started in Nashville, music’s greatest city, with plans to expand footprint into other areas and other states. In each new city they will involve new communities, new schools, and provide further fundraising opportunities.
