Critically acclaimed Nashville-based singer/songwriter Mindy Smith, whose “best songs sound like little miracles (USA Today), will embark on a solo acoustic tour beginning May 5, at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, GA. A list of dates is below with more to be added.
Choosing intimate listening rooms for her first tour in six years, “so I could be as up close and personal as possible,” Smith says, each show will feature storytelling and songs, old and new, and celebrate the 15th anniversary of her highly praised debut, One Moment More.
To mark the anniversary, Smith recently partnered with Concord Music’s Craft Recordings to reissue One Moment More on vinyl for the first time. An exclusive, autographed, artist-only limited edition 180-gram clear coke bottle vinyl, and limited edition hand-written lyrics from Smith is available at MindySmithmusic.com.
The Long Island native first created a buzz in 2003, charming fans with her rendition of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” for the tribute album Just Because I’m A Woman: Songs of Dolly Parton. In 2004, she released her debut album, which was hailed as a “striking debut album” (WXPN World Café). Co-produced by Smith and Steve Buckingham and recorded in Nashville, One Moment More features 11 original compositions.
Since her debut, she has released four full-length studio albums, a Christmas EP, and numerous singles. Her original songs have been recorded and released by the likes of Alison Krauss, Lee Ann Womack, Faith Hill, among many others. Over the years, she has performed alongside Emmylou Harris, John Prine, Alison Krauss, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and was most recently the featured vocalist on Kenny Chesney’s hit single, “Better Boat.”
